Vegetable Stearic Acid

This triple pressed stearic acid is a derivative of Malaysian Palm. Increases firmness (improves a candle's burn time), aids in mold release, imparts opacity, and will prevent candles from losing their shape in warmer weather. Additives provide the candle maker with tools to tailor waxes for specific effects.

Use a minimum of 3 to 5 tablespoons per pound of wax for normal use.

Since the burning properties of candles are sensitive to candle shape, wick size, braid type, softening point of the wax blend, the nature and concentration of the blend, test burning the candles should be done to determine that the formulation has been successful.
